Is there an age limit for the event?
-Yes, our event is over 18s only this year
Is there disabled access?
-Yes, the venue is fully wheelchair accessible and we have a raised wheelchair platform. This is limited to a first come first served basis. Once you have purchased your ticket you will need to email the venue to request your name goes on a list of potential users.
Can my carer come for free?
Yes, you may bring one carer to the event free of charge with a full paying ticket.
Can I leave during the day?
No, once you are in the venue there is no re-entry. Once you have left you will not be allowed back in until the next day.
What if I get hungry? Is there food on site?
Yes we have a food court on site with a delicious HOG ROAST, BURRITOS and a BBQ. We have vegetarian options available too. Don’t miss the first bands, join us for the whole day as we have plenty of delicious food at the venue just for you.
Can I buy merchandise?
Yes, festival and band merchandise will be on sale during the event. We will also have a Metal Market for you to buy some really cool items. Please remember CASH ONLY. Cash back available at the bars but there is no cash machine on site.
Can I do a drop kick in the pit?
-No. If you kick or punch in the pit you will be kicked out

Where should I stay if I am traveling from another city/ country?
-Edinburgh is a beautiful, historical city and we recommend staying a few extra days. There are plenty of accommodation options to suit all budgets. There are many people traveling in from around the world so you will no doubt make friends at your accommodation, see our ‘travel and accommodation’ page
Will there be camping facilities?
No- no camping facilities or camping grounds. All our guests will need to find non-tent accommodation
Will you have a pre and after party?
-Yes, the Hotter Than Hell pre-show party as well as the after party will take place at Studio 24 and is free entry for Heavy Scotland guests.

Do you support any charities?
-Yes, we have teamed up with The Little Princess Trust charity, which donates real hair wigs to children suffering with hair loss. We have donated and are happy to offer up to twenty people FREE tickets to Heavy Scotland 2017 in exchange for a hair donation of 12″ or more. If you wish to donate your hair please send us an email firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE cutting your hair and we will discuss this more with you.
Are you an independent festival?
-Yes, we are 100% independent and our aim is to grow the Scottish metal scene.
